Arrive in Kathmandu, the capital of Nepal and widely known as the Temple City, located in the heart of the Himalayas and serving as the starting point of your journey through the greater Himalayan region of South Asia. The city is located at an elevation of approximately 1,400 meters (4,593 feet).

Upon arrival at Tribhuvan International Airport, you will be welcomed in the arrival hall by an airport representative from Jagadamba Holidays, our appointed local partner in Nepal. The representative will be easily identifiable by a clearly displayed welcome sign bearing the name “Natura Himalaya Tours.”

You will then be transferred by private vehicle to your hotel in Thamel, Kathmandu’s main tourist district. The airport transfer covers a distance of approximately 7 kilometers and usually takes around 40 to 45 minutes, depending on traffic conditions. Upon arrival at the hotel, luggage assistance will be provided. Early check-in is subject to availability; if rooms are not immediately ready, your luggage will be securely stored. Overnight accommodation with breakfast will be provided on a twin-sharing basis in a deluxe room at Kathmandu Guest House or a similar standard hotel in Thamel.

The remainder of the day is free for leisure, allowing time to relax or explore Kathmandu’s cultural attractions at your own pace. Thamel offers a variety of cafés, local shops, and traditional streets, providing a gentle introduction to the city’s atmosphere.

In the afternoon or early evening, you will meet our local partner and tour coordinator, Mr Narendra Bohara, at the hotel for a personal orientation session. During this meeting, the travel plan (tour itinerary)  will be discussed, your local tour guide will be introduced, necessary travel procedures will be completed, and any remaining arrangements finalised. The remainder of the day is left free, allowing you to rest after your journey and slowly adjust to the rhythm of Nepal’s capital city.

Explore three of Nepal’s most significant UNESCO World Heritage Sites in a single, guided day tour. This carefully curated journey offers a comprehensive introduction to the cultural and spiritual heart of the Kathmandu Valley, combining history, architecture, and living traditions in one seamless experience.

Begin at Bhaktapur Durbar Square, a well-preserved medieval city featuring ornate temples, royal palaces, and traditional Newari woodcarvings. Walk through its historic streets, where local artisans continue age-old crafts like pottery and woodcarving, and where the renowned Juju Dhau (King Curd) remains a beloved local specialty. Situated along the sacred Bagmati River, this sprawling temple complex hosts traditional rituals and cremation ceremonies that offer profound insight into centuries-old spiritual practices still observed today. After breakfast, depart Kathmandu for a scenic 195.5 km drive to Bandipur via the historic town of Gorkha. The journey takes approximately 6–7 hours, winding through the picturesque Trishuli River Valley, terraced farmlands, traditional villages, and lush green hills, offering an authentic glimpse of Nepal’s beautiful countryside.

After approximately 144 km, you will arrive at Gorkha, the birthplace of modern Nepal and the former royal capital of the Shah dynasty. Here, you will visit the magnificent Gorkha Durbar, a hilltop palace-fortress that served as the royal residence of King Prithvi Narayan Shah, the founder of unified Nepal. Explore the ancient palace complex, the Kalika Temple, and the sacred Gorakhnath Cave, all while enjoying sweeping views of the surrounding hills and the snow-capped Himalayas.

Following your visit, continue another 51.5 km to the beautifully preserved hilltop town of Bandipur. From the hilltop viewpoints, enjoy breathtaking panoramas of the Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and Lamjung Himal ranges before continuing your journey.

Leaving Bandipur behind, drive 72 km to Pokhara in approximately 2–3 hours. The scenic route passes rolling green hills, terraced farmlands, winding rivers, and picturesque villages before arriving in Nepal’s most popular lakeside destination. Upon arrival, check in at Hotel Middle Path & Spa and take some time to relax.

In the evening, explore the lively Lakeside district and enjoy a peaceful walk along the shores of Phewa Lake, Nepal’s second-largest lake. As the aircraft soars above the lush hills and valleys, you will be treated to an unparalleled aerial panorama of the Himalayan peaks, including Annapurna, Dhaulagiri, Manaslu, and the iconic Machhapuchhare (Fishtail Mountain) , rising majestically against the deep blue sky. Upon arrival in Kathmandu, meet your guide and continue with a picturesque drive to Namo Buddha, covering approximately 40 km in about 1.5–2 hours. En route, enjoy a brief sightseeing stop at the historic town of Panauti, a hidden gem with ancient temples, wooden architecture, and a rich cultural heritage. After completing your visit, continue the drive to Namo Buddha. The trail passes traditional villages, terraced farmlands, pine forests, and Buddhist monasteries, offering an authentic glimpse into rural life in the Himalayan foothills.

Upon arrival in Dhulikhel (1,550 m) , explore one of Nepal’s oldest Newari towns, renowned for its traditional architecture, ancient temples, and breathtaking Himalayan panoramas. Check in to Himalayan Horizon Hotel, beautifully situated on a ridge overlooking the mountains. Spend the afternoon exploring the historic town or simply relax on the hotel’s terrace while enjoying sweeping views of Langtang, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa, Gaurishankar, and, on exceptionally clear days, even the eastern Himalayan ranges.

After breakfast, depart Dhulikhel and begin your scenic drive back to Kathmandu, covering approximately 40 km in about 2–3 hours (excluding sightseeing stops). En route, make your first stop at Sanga, home to the impressive Sanga Shiva Statue, one of the world’s tallest statues of Lord Shiva, standing at 143 feet (43.5 meters) high. Admire the magnificent golden-colored sculpture and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding hills and valleys before continuing your journey toward the capital.

Upon arrival in the Kathmandu Valley, proceed to Patan (also known as Lalitpur), one of the three royal cities of the valley. Visit the historic Patan Durbar Square, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, renowned for its exquisite Newari architecture, intricately carved wooden temples, royal courtyards, and centuries-old palaces.
